Diary 26/03

Friday I had to play in Jh Wollewei, which is a great location. But the people are very young (I mean very) I had to do the warming-up so not much to talk about. Troubles with one turntable completely messed me up. So I played an average minimal-elektro set. By the end I was playing catchy songs to cheer up the (no) croud.
Underdog was next and raised the tempo. It was a techno-party afterall. At the end of his set the people started coming in waiting for Psychogene to hit the turntables. He started with some old detroit and switched to more minimal/elektro-techno stuff near the end. I had to catch up with a few friends so missed the last set. Which was probably the best so I've heard. Go onig!

Saturday was different. I had a great time playing a quite commercial party in Retie. There was a small room next to the big tent where I had to play.
Played some realy good new tunes I realy like (in my next chart) and just got my hands on.
Gijay closed with a realy nice drum'n bass set. As always...

Jay and I took some pictures with my new digicam. The pictures suck, but I'm still like back in school when it comes to photography.

BLUE FRIDAY @ WIRWAR 21st of March

As usual, and every 3th friday of the month, in april there is an upcoming Blue Friday...
For people who don't know anything about it, just come over and see.
However, this time it will be a more relaxed night. Because the Radio Pirat crew has a big party planned that same night. So we'll probably play more minimal, housy. So everybody who wants to chill for a moment, come over and have a chat...

Get Physical Music had a blast in 2005! With huge tracks like Body Language and Mandarine Girl they are taking over the world. Also the release of M.A.N.D.Y's first mix-cd proved their power to create a unique blend of music. Minimal, elektro, tech-house, house 'n techno. It's all in there.
Look out for future releases because 2006 started with BIG new tracks by Elektrochemie, Jona (!!!), Chelonis R. Jones(rmx by Dj Hell), Dj T and more to come.

I realy must say I'm an addict when it comes to buying records. But I see it as an investment. All those beautiful tracks...It's just like collecting dvd's or vintage-stuff...

Minimal, elektro, techy, great !! Mexicanische Würfelbude is great. Big melody. But skip the original when you like to go nuts. Delon Dalcan are there for the remix. Play and BAM.

2.AME:Rej EP

Deep, driving, minimal techno. Great arpeggio. All you dreamers out there. Think of isolee but dark & a bit harder.

3.THE KNIFE:Silent shout

Frist single from their new album (to be released soon) Original is beautiful, remix by williams more for the dancefloor. In the box for a long time.

4.PAUL KALKBRENNER:Tatue-Tata

Remix of J. lo? Yup, but way better. The vocal gives an extra amount of power.
Just keeps on going. Played by me and all of the big jocks like james holden, m.a.n.d.y,...

5.DATAPUNK ROCKSTARS:klartext

Simple yet effective elektrotechno from anthony rother's label.

6.NAPSUGAR:Don't blind me

Blind is the best track in the remix by Melnyk. Great production, lovely tetris-like sounds.

7.STEREOFREAK:Diehne gier ist mein begher

Sven uk remix is more minimal. Builds and builds. Lovely melody.

8.SUXUL MUSIC:Fancy(JOHN TEJADARMX)

Tech-house in typical John Tejada way. For me it's simple. Everything John touches turns into black gold.

9.AUDIO WERNER:Trust

Cool percussion. Very deep minimal techno.

10.JONA:The learnings EP

Hit !!! Get physical label does it again. This time youngster jona (from belgium) delivers one of the finest records I heard lately.
A-side: great melody, minimal hit + the additional clicks and kraks.
B-side: More house, realy happy melody. Guitar!!! What more do you need?

Why this name?
Blue Friday is one of the things I'm busy with. With a few friends I try to create a new environment in a small town. We organise small gigs with local dj's.
Familiar faces...Small but cosy location...Dancing...Fun...you know, right?
